ABOUT ME

What would spaghetti be without Parmesan, improvisation without an idea, a game of chess without a strategy? In my search for authenticity, I immersed myself in theater from a young age – and have remained there ever since. From Albania through Italy to Germany, I packed my suitcase full of stories that only life can write: revolution, emigration, earthquakes. Nevertheless, I have not lost my laughter. Or perhaps, it’s because of it. And what would a clown be without his smile?!

I was born in Tirana, Albania, in 1981. After the fall of the Iron Curtain in Europe and the revolution in Albania, my family followed my father’s emigration to Italy. In the city of L’Aquila, Abruzzo, I completed my schooling and studied Performing Arts. I intensified my work as a clown during the earthquake emergency camps in L’Aquila in 2009. Subsequently, I participated as both an actor and director in various national and international projects.

In 2018, I relocated to Berlin, where I currently work as a circus trainer at CABUWAZI, serve as a guest artist at the Berliner Ensemble (“EXIL”), and direct a theater performance as part of the Science Year Freedom (“Hidden Research”).

Whenever possible, I encourage playfulness and improvisation in my shows and workshops to bring intuition to the stage – facilitating genuine understanding. Alongside conceptual work, I offer clown and improvisational theater training for individuals or groups seeking to explore their imaginative potential.
